Welcome
Welcome to the Law Society of New Brunswick’s Online Learning Centre
As the independent governing body for all lawyers in New Brunswick, the Law Society encourages lawyers to maintain high standards by promoting continuing legal education. This website contains two separate courses intended to assist lawyers with continuing education.
The Business of Law Course, comprised of twelve separate learning modules and the Communication Toolkit, qualify for credit under the Society’s CPD program.
The website contains courses each made up of three main components:
-
Textbook style written content on various legal topics. This website includes “wiki” functionality that allows users to suggest corrections and improvements to the written content. User suggestions are reviewed by the website administrators and implemented as appropriate. Users may also suggest improvements to the course by leaving comments using the comment form at the bottom of each page.
-
Quizzes: these short tests contain skill testing multiple choice questions that allow users to test their knowledge on the topics covered by the textbook content. In order to receive CPD credit for having completed these courses, Law Society of New Brunswick members must complete the Quizzes for each module.
-
Survey: a feedback survey will help the Law Society understand the user experience and will ultimately allow the Society to improve the course.
