Marketing and Advertising

The first impression people have of you may be through your own marketing and advertising. Section 4.2 of the Code of Conduct governs the marketing of legal services. The marketing and advertising rules have changed over the years and, while they are now less restrictive, they still define a framework with constraints within which lawyers must operate when marketing and advertising. This course does not discuss marketing issues in detail, but you should understand how these rules operate and ensure that your marketing and advertising activities reflect current standards.  If you are not certain about your marketing strategy or if you have any questions, you should contact the Law Society.
